Sony rolled out its latest series of laptops VAIO X Series, which the company is touting as the world's lightest.

According to Sony, this new series netbooks feature a 16:9 aspect ratio packed into a 11.1-inch footprint. The display with the LED backlight technology is scratch resistant and provides picture quality with 100% saturation and enhanced brightness. It also comes with a standard and super-extended capacity batteryVGP-BPX19 delivering extra-long battery life for day-long productivity-up to 3.5 hours for the VGP-BPS19  standard battery and up to 14 hours for the super-extended capacity battery vgp-bps19.

The Vaio X  netbook weighing around 1.6 pounds.
